Ladies Auto School

Automotive repairs and maintenance shouldn't be a source of frustration and negative emotions, but they are - especially for women! And the worst part is that more often than not, women feel that they are at the mercy of the mechanic. Seventy percent of woman who responded to a recent survey indicated that they had been ripped off -- or think they had – when it came to automobile repairs.

Women are becoming more and more responsible for the care of the familyCar Maintanence automobile. And yet, eight-nine percent of women told the Car Care Council, an aftermarket trade group, that they feel they're treated differently by mechanics because of their gender.

This is why Bjorn Holm, owner of Master Mechanic Erin Mills, launched an Auto School for Woman – Girls Can’t What? over two years ago.

The goal of the Auto School workshop is three-fold: to empower women to be confident behind the wheel; to educate women about the importance of regular maintenance; and, to promote road safety. In other words, we want to show our female customers that your car questions are valid and that servicing your vehicle or taking it in for car repairs can be a positive experience.

During the two hour workshop we will not attempt to fix your car or turn you into a mechanic. Register for the upcoming workshop however, and we will help you learn more about your car and how to make sure it is running efficiently. We will give an opportunity for you to ask your auto repair questions and learn car maintenance tips. We will cover the basics of car knowledge so that when you have completed the workshop you will leave feeling more confident and road ready.
